Short Program Description: Each episode of The Adventures of Dave and Augie contains on-location footage of puppets Dave and Augie touring the sites, which is punctuated with fun, colorful animation and graphics. Two game show segments, hosted by Rex Dino, a charmingly sarcastic dinosaur, break up the on location scenes and review the presented information. The videos end with a fun, yet educational, music video starring the puppet band Wolfgang and Dirty, Jim, Socks, that recaps important facts.

DESCRIPTION
Travel Segments: It's a whirlwind trip as Dave and Augie take you on a guided tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. First we visit the museum on Ellis Island with Dave and Augie's friend Morgan. Ellis Island was the first stop for many immigrants coming to America. See how the newly restored island came to be the "Gateway of America". Then, Dave and Augie take the ferry out to visit the Statue of Liberty (or "Lady Liberty" as Dave likes to call her). A joint effort between the French and Americans, she is truly a beautiful and fascinating work of art.
Gameshow Segments: "Last One to Answer is a Rotten Egg" starring Rex Dino. The last one to answer gets pelted with rotten eggs!
Music Video Segment: The band Wolfgang and Dirty, Jim, Socks sing the love song "Statue" to the Statue of Liberty.

Episode 2: The World of Ben Franklin

DESCRIPTION
Travel Segments: Join Dave and Augie as they travel to Philadelphia, the hometown of Benjamin Franklin and the birthplace of the United States. Our first stop is Franklin Court. In the court, the boys see the ghost structure, showing where Ben's house once stood. Then, they visit a working 1700's printshop, complete with a demonstration from their friend Karl. Next, we're off to Carpenters' Hall. Not only is it the home of the First Continental Congress, it is also the home of the first public library, a concept thought up by Ben. Last, but certainly not least, the boys head to Independence Hall. We'll tour the inside of this venerable old building, which was the home of the Second Continental Congress and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It was also home to the famous Liberty Bell, which now stands by itself in another location.
Gameshow Segments: Rex Dinos' "Wheel of Junk". Puppet contestant play for "junk" prizes like a rusty, old bed spring and a broken vase.
Music Video Segment: Wolfgang and Dirty, Jim Soxs sing "Ben!", a rock song dedicated to Franklin.

Travel Segments: Join Dave and Augie as they travel to Sagamore Hill, the home of Theodore Roosevelt in Oyster Bay, New York. Here they'll learn about at our twenty-sixth president and the work he did to make the world a better place. Built shortly after his marriage to Edith Carow in December 1886, this house held a special place in T.R.'s heart. In fact, it was so special to Theodore that he couldn't stand to be away for too long. Roosevelt spent a good portion of his presidency working from Sagamore Hill (he was the first president to work from somewhere other than the White House), which is why the press dubbed it the "Summer White House". Come explore the life of Theodore Roosevelt with Dave, Augie, and their friend, Hillary.
